Society for Educational Visits and Exchanges in Canada
Sevec (Society for Educational Visits and Exchanges in Canada) is looking after youth exchanges within Canada. As a national not-for-profit association Sevec has more than 65 years experience in organizing exchanges and educational visits in all parts of Canada. Over the years, more than 275,000 young people, their teachers and their families have been able to count on Sevec. Sevec reports back to Heritage Canada.
In order to gather information about the experiences of the youth, Sevec sends out questionnaires continually. Kovatec redesigned the existing forms in order to separate the data. The data is collected from the forms with Cardiff software, verified and read into a database. After the project, Kovatec delivers all images and the database on CD.
The only thing left to for Sevec is the statistical analysis in SPSS. With the click of a few buttons, Sevec can tell that Ontario teachers were happier with the exchange than French speaking students from New Brunswick. Or that students from BC liked their twin students more, or that English speaking teachers from Nunavut learned more than French speaking teachers from Quebec, or even that Quebec students feel more Canadian than ever before!
